FAQ
Q. As an Approved Service Provider, what does Calgary Technologies do?
A. Calgary Technologies consults with potential voucher recipients to identify projects that may be eligible for the Voucher Program. We can also help with the application process. If your project is approved for a voucher, Calgary Technologies Inc. can then work with you to further define your project, create a statement of work, identify and engage third-party vendors to complete the appropriate portions of the work, monitor the project's progress, and upon successful completion, administrate the redemption of the voucher and payment to the appropriate parties.
Q. What does Calgary Technologies Inc. charge for these services?
A. During the pilot phase, Calgary Technologies Inc. will be providing voucher program services on a cost recovery basis, by charging a fee as a percentage of the voucher value. This fee is in addition to fees normally charged for Calgary Technologies’ current services.
Q. Do Calgary Technologies Inc.'s current services qualify for the Voucher?
A. Yes. However, our current services are already subsidized by other government programs. The intent of the Voucher Program is to provide access to early-stage commercialization services that are otherwise not subsidized by any government program. Therefore, we anticipate that voucher projects will primarily involve third-party service providers.
Q. Can I redeem my voucher with Calgary Technologies Inc. after I complete the project independently?
A. No. It is a requirement of the program that you contract with an Approved Service Provider prior to the project work being completed. Calgary Technologies Inc. will only accept and redeem vouchers for clients that have a prior contract in place.
Q. Who can I talk to if I have questions?
